There are a couple of scenarios were you can still achieve tax relief and that is where you have borrowed against your house to buy another business or property for example and as such the monthly expenditure is offset against any income you are receiving. Secondly there is also the situation where a director of a company uses his personal property to borrow and then inject capital into the business. In this instance the director would also receive tax relief on the mortgage.
